Our prosciutto di Norcia PGI at the G7 agricoltura

The Consorzio del Prosciutto di Norcia PGI participated as a protagonist in the “Casa Italia DOP IGP” initiative on the occasion of Divinazione Expo 2024 – G7 Agricoltura held in the evocative setting of Ortigia (Syracuse) at the end of September 2024. The event was organized by Origin Italia in collaboration with ISIT and AFIDOP, with the support of the Fondazione Qualivita.

During the event, our Prosciutto di Norcia PGI was presented and offered to guests and visitors thanks to a special cooking show: a chef showed the public the techniques of knife cutting and the versatility of this gastronomic excellence.

Pietro Bellini, President of the Consorzio, said: “The G7 Agricultura in Ortigia is an important initiative to highlighthighlight the excellence of the Italian agri-food sector and promote the value of Made in Italy, the defence of which is not only an economic protection but represents a real battle to guard Italian quality, tradition and culture. PDOs and PGIs must make join forces with the institutions to raise consumer awareness of the real origin of the products and make them free to choose with consciousness .”

This initiative represents, for us, a moment to enhance one of the specialties of our territory at an international level, while promoting a message of responsibility in the choice of consumers.
