Our sustainability is made up of three ingredients, just like our Prosciutto di Norcia. We also add some ingredients, which cannot be seen, to meat, salt, and spices: they are the passion we have been putting into our work for three generations and the respect for the territory that surrounds us. But that is not all. It is the commitment to implement actions and strategies that combine the value of the community and its traditions with that of the environment, following a rapidly changing society.

An abbey of modern times:

the Preci prosciutto factory

The Preci prosciutto factory, located in the Monti Sibillini National Park, is the first plant in Italy to process meat with zero carbon footprint production and consumption systems.

The structure is equipped with a technological and cutting-edge system. It was created using glazing on all its facades to save energy. It also minimizes the use of wastewater thanks to a stormwater management system. The roof is covered with a grass carpet that integrates with the surrounding area and reduces temperature changes.

A state-of-the-art factory, innovative in shapes and technologies that inhabits the Umbrian landscape.
